The Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic
Studies will present " A Jewish Life in
Jazz," a concert and informal lecture by
pianist and composer Ben Sidran 3 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 25, at Temple Israel.
In addition, Sidran will conduct jazz
clinics, 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at
Music North, 5900 Second Avenue,
Wayne State University.
Both events are free and open to the

661-5700.) The program is co-spon-
sored by Temple Israel and the
Department of Music at Wayne State
University and is funded by DeRoy
Testamentary Foundation.

Congregation Beth Shalom Sisterhood
will celebrate Sisterhood Shabbat, which
coincides-with Women's League 80th
anniversary Shabbat 9 a.m. Jan. 17, at
the synagogue.
