diseases such as Tay Sachs and Gaucher's

Two Speakers

Rabbi Joseph Klein from Temple
Emanu-El will speak 7 p.m. Monday,
Jan. 12, at the Jewish Community
Center in Oak Park. Rabbi Klein will
present a comparison of Jerusalem and
the Temple in the first century with the
archaeology and structures of modern
Jerusalem.
On Thursday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m., Yael
Waxman, community shlicha, Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit-
Michigan/Israel Connection, will give a
personal history of Israel.

Lunch, Learn

Or Somayach Detroit will host a lunch
and learn with Rabbi Meyer Schiller
12:30-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan.
21, at the Max Fisher Jewish Federation
Building. Topic: "Suffering and Assisted
Suicide, a Torah Perspective." Rabbi
Schiller is a lecturer at Yeshiva
