The mission, "Future Leaders of Klal Yisrael," is intended for those who understand the importance of multi-stream cooperation and is an outgrowth of a leadership training program initiated three years ago by the Synagogue/Federation Task Force. Each congregation identifies future leaders who study and problem-solve together. The "Future Leaders of Klal Yisrael" mission, which is scheduled for fall 1998, will begin with a trip to Czechoslovakia and then continue to Israel. Rabbis representing all three streams are helping develop the trip and will travel with the group. A second leadership training mission — this one for members of the Young Adult Division board — has been approved for funding by the UP and Federation. The mission, scheduled for next July, is the culmination of a year of - study and is designed to energize the board and make them a more effective working unit. The United Jewish Foundation pro- vided a partial subsidy to enable the young leaders to participate in the two missions.
