Back in '89, Lieberman was remar-
ried to Ellena. A few years later, he
slipped a disc in his back and ended
up in bed for a few months. "I started
reading a lot of spiritual writing," he
----id. "There was a book on the best-
seller list and I started reading it and
got a third of the way through the
book and thought, 'This is garbage.'
Sitting on the nightstand was a Bible I
received for my bar mitzvah and I
thought, 'This is what I should be
reading.'" A short time later,
Lieberman was approached by a
Lubavitcher who invited him to a
—lass. The rest is history.

Thank God I'm a
Jewish boy.

His music hasn't enabled him to
-1-,reak free of the day-to-day, but he's
not selling real estate any more, either.
Lieberman's day job entails playing
music, mainly for children, at Jewish
community centers, pre-schools, day
schools, Sunday schools and Chabad
houses.
Although he has one "racier" song
in his repertoire that is based on "Love
Potion No. 9," he doesn't plan to
Aclude it in his performance next
week.
"I always ask who the crowd is
going to be. The only thing I'm con-
cerned with now is how the particular
rabbi feels about singing along,"
Lieberman said. "I've just learned by
doing what is sniyes (modest) and
what is not. My stuff is perfectly OK."

Shabbat Shmooze

Congregation B'nai Moshe will host
youth in grades 7-12 at a Shabbat
Shmooze 10-11:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan.
10. Each Shabbat Shmooze will feature
a "guest shmoozer" from the communi-
ty to lead in a discussion involving any-
