HEAD OF SCHOOL

The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy, Atlanta's Reform Jewish com-
munity-based Day School, seeks Head of School to succeed retiring
founding Head of School. Established in 1992, The Davis Academy
consists of grades K-6, expanding to grade 8 by fall 1999. Current
enrollment is 230 students. The school is located on an eleven-acre
campus in North Atlanta a two-year-old state-of-the-art facility which
is about to initiate the second phase of its three-phase building plan.
The Head of School will lead a dynamic strategic educational lead-
ership team which ultimately will include principals of the middle and
elementary schools and the current Judaics Coordinator, as well as a
highly qualified and creative faculty. The Head will administer the
school, with direct or indirect authority for all school employees and
facilities. In concert with the Board, she or he will define the school's
priorities and budgets. The Head will also represent the Academy and
its interest, both to the larger Atlanta community and to the entire
national Jewish and secular educational communities.
