(which help break down the barriers
between a company and its cus-
tomers), Kerr said.
For Harley Davidson, one of its
larger clients, USWeb built a dealer
extranet that links Harley with its 800
motorcycle distributors worldwide.
From parts to repair to warranty
claims, they can now communicate
with ease, Kerr said.

time you're really only standing in one
spot in a bare studio.
RT-Set, a specialist in virtual studio
systems and a subsidiary of BVR Tech-
nologies, was founded just three
years ago. It has already car-
ried out projects with a
number of leading inter-
national players such as
Disney and CBS. It cov-
ered the U.S. and Kore-
an presidential elections
and Mexico's elections.
While sales of the sys-
tern are only expected to
begin this year, the com-
pany predicts sales of over
$50 million a year by the
turn of the century.
Essentially, a virtual studio is an
add-on to existing TV studios. It
enables producers and video makers to
transform what is in reality a small,
propless set into a lively and irnagina-
