Sisterhood members will join with clergy to conduct services begin- ning at 9 a.m. This year's sisterhood president, Joyce Weingarten, will deliver the sermon. NFTY Plans Winter Kallah NFTY's annual Winter Kallah will take place Jan. 23-25, and will be hosted by YFTI (the Youth Federation of Temple Israel). The theme of the weekend is 'A Journey Into Your Creative Spirit" and it is open to Reform Jewish high school students from temple youth groups throughout Michigan. Family Album Scan Fair Computer technology will meet the family photo album when families will have an opportunity to save trea- sured photos on a CD-ROM at the Detroit Family Album Scan Fair Sunday, Jan. 11, at the Maple/Drake Jewish Community Center. Sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, in partnership with the University of Michigan Academic Outreach Program, the scan fair will give fami- lies an opportunity to share their bar/bat mitzvah photos in a web site project through the Michigan Jewish On-Line Education Project. The web site is aimed at teaching Jewish life cycles to fourth- through eighth- graders in local religious and day schools. Each family will have 20 minutes to scan black and white or color pho- tos. Persons who participate in the intergenerational project will be given a CD-ROM "family album" preserv- ing family memories for the future. The community is invited to par- ticipate. Joan Lunden At CHOICES Joan Lunden, former "Good Morning America" host and author of books on healthy living, will be the guest speaker at the annual CHOICES event, 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. CHOICES is the annual Allied Jewish Campaign community out- reach event and fund-raising lun- cheon sponsored by the Jewish Federation Women's Campaign and Education Department. Admission fee is Joan Lunden $25, with a required minimum $150 pledge to the Women's Campaign. Complimentary baby-sitting will be available for children aged 2 1/2 and older by reservation before Feb. 15. Kosher luncheon will be served. Reservation deadline is Feb. 10.
