Gym and Havdalah 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Morris JCC.
This activity is geared toward chil-
dren in preschool through seventh
grade who are enrolled in Shir
Tikvah's Family Education Program.
A pizza dinner will be served as will
snacks and drinks. Prices are $10 per
adult, $5 per child; children under 5
are free.

Hills. Upcoming session dates are Jan.
5, 12, 19, 26, Feb. 2 and 9.
The series discusses Jewish stereo-
types in contemporary culture,
including an analysis of how such
images are created by Jews themselves
and reflect internalized negative atti-
tudes.
The fee is $5 per session for mem-
bers of the sponsoring organizations;
$7 per session for others. All are wel-
come, regardless of affiliation or pre-
vious adult Jewish study experience.
Rabbi Offers
Judaism Class
Rabbi Arnie Sleutelberg,
Congregation Shir Tikvah, will teach
a 10-week Introduction to Judaism
class, beginning Monday, Jan. 12, at
Rabbi Arnie's home. This class is open
to anyone approaching Judaism for
the first time or to anyone interested
in a refresher course taught at the
adult level.
Classes will meet on Jan. 12, 19,
26, Feb. 9, 16, 23, Mar. 2, 9, 30 and
Apr. 6. Class size is limited. For fees

The Agency for Jewish Education's
Midrasha Center for Adult Jewish
Studies will host intermediate and
advanced level Hebrew students and
potential new students at a Hebrew
Winter Warm-up, 10 a.m.-noon
Tuesdays, Jan. 6 and 27, and 7:30-
9:30 p.m. Jan. 27, at AJE in
Southfield. Participants may attend as
many sessions as they desire.
The Hebrew Winter Warm-up is

"Magic and Superstition in Judaism".
The discussion will begin at 8 p.m.
after supper.
Sisterhood membership is not
required for the supper or the discus-
sion — all guests are welcome.
