SELMAN, 72, of Oak Park, died Dec. 26. Mrs. Selman was an envi- ronmental engineering executive. She took over the family business, Duro Chemical Products Co., after the death of her husband and ran the business until it was sold five years later; she helped the new owners run the compa- ny for another five years. In 1986, she founded Waste Advantage Inc., special- izing in pollution prevention. In 1990, she was voted as one of the top 15 busi- nesswomen of the year by Crain's Detroit Business. In 1992, she retired 1/2 1998 140 1 and began volunteer work at the Holocaust Memorial Center as a lectur- er. She was active with the American Cancer Society. She is survived by her daughter, Lenee Selman of CaliE; sons and daughter-in-law, Jay and Toni Selman of Calif., Michael Selman of Southfield; grandchild, Anisa Selman; brothers and sister-in-law, Harry and Liz Franks of New York, Zev Frajnovits of Brazil, Joseph Frajnovits of Israel, Max Frajnovits of Israel.
