regard Christmas as their holiday. New

go to New Year's parties, drink a lot
and kiss one another at midnight.

Orthodox, who refer to the holiday as
Sylvester (a 4th Century Catholic
saint whose "day" is December 31).
But since the only Sylvester most
Israeli have heard of is muscleman
Stallone, they see no reason not to
have a party on New Year's Eve. 0
