Inside says, "Happy Holidays." . . Michelle Buckley, spokesperson for Hallmark's Tree of Life division, says sales of its two interfaith cards don't compare to Christmas and Chanukah sales. "When you look at sales of our Christmas cards, not even the boxed cards, Americans are sending out 2.6 billion cards. When you look at Chanukah, it's 10 million [cards sent out by Americans]," she says. The Tree of Life line debuted in 1995. "The fact that we developed them shows there's a need for that type of card, and if there's a need, obviously people are responding to that need," Buckley says. Dianne Schneider, owner of Dianne's Hallmark in Bloomfield Hills, says people buy interfaith` cards because they "don't want to anger anybody. They're not real popular. People [may not] really know there's such a thing." Hallmark stores market the cards as "suitable for many faiths." Barbara's Paper Bag in Birmingham sold out a line of interfaith holiday cards by Gina B. Graphics that pic- tured a snowman holding a Christmas tree in one hand and a Chanukah menorah in the other. "This year, a lot of people [have been] very conscious of not saying Christmas — sensitive to Jews. It seemed like people are more aware that not everybody celebrates Christmas," says owner Susan Sivak.
