On The Cover:

MICHAEL YASHINSKY

age 9,
a resident of Farrnington Hills
who attends Hillel Day School.

Michael's reaction to winning the cover contest: "Oh my
God!"
He says he likes to draw a lot and "I really took a lot of
time" on the winning design. Michael went to the store and
picked out the glitter and pipe cleaners, and then decided
on his subject matter, the menorah.
All of the contest entries will be displayed throughout
Chanukah at the Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish Community
Center in Oak Park. Copies of the winning entries will also
be displayed at Tapper's Fine Jewelry in West Bloomfield.
Contest entrants were invited to view the art work and
participate in an awards ceremony and family entertainment
last night at the Jimmy Prentis Morris JCC.
