REFORM from page 30

* In a recent article about the life of
a rebbetzin, there was mention of
three women. In only one case was
there a reference to the rabbi's affilia-
tion, again it was a Reform rabbi.
Then there was further mention to
include that he was a divorced rabbi.
* In an article about Shir Tikvah
raising money by working at the
Silverdome — again the Reform tem-
ple.
* The article about Shir Shalom
bridging the gap — the reference was
to the Reform temple.
This is not to say that The Detroit
Jewish News is unfair to the Reform
Movement in Detroit; the balance in
reporting is fair and honest when it
comes to news issues. However, when
it comes to editorial issues, things
seem to take a turn.
These little digs at Reform Judaism
are divisive. Perhaps even more divi-
sive than the split in Israel over
Orthodox vs. all other forms of
Judaism because it strikes right in our
own back yard. Perhaps it's time for
you to consider the ramifications of
-.- your editorial policy.
