In addition, she was founder and president of the Michigan chapter of the International Association of Psychological Rehabilitation Services as well as chair of its international task force and a member of the national board. Ms. Levine belonged to the World Association of Psychological Rehabilitation and the Alliance for the Mentally Ill. She founded and served as president of Colombian Americans Friends, an organiza- tion that helped facilitate international adoptions. In 1993, Ms. Levine received a Fulbright Senior lectureship for work in Venezuela and Peru in the field of psycho- logical rehabilitation, training and consulta- tion to public mental health agencies and universities. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Levine; sons and daughter-in-law, Peter M. Levine and Patricia Gunn, Paul Anthony Levine of Coconut Grove, Fla.; daughter, Sarah Levine; brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Alice May of New Jersey. For over 30 years, Mrs. Lewis was a Detroit Public School teacher. She also was a charter member of Temple Israel.
