Health THE The Premier Retirement Community Where Exceptional Service is our Standard. „ovao, :wma Getting Omenn to Ann Arbor was not the easiest of tasks. "It took a lot of persuading to leave Seattle," he said. "I love it there, and we are emersed in the community. Personally, it was a big decision." The 56-year-old Omenn men- tioned that it was hard, not only with David starting high school this year, but with his two oldest children Rachel, 27, and 26-year-old Jason hav- ing moved back to the Pacific Northwest. Adjusting to Ann Arbor also has been difficult, with his wife Martha and David still in Seattle. They will be moving here next month and David will start at Huron High School. When Omenn has spare time from his committees and day-to-day work at U-M, he likes to play tennis and piano and has joined the University Musical Society,. He said he's been warmly welcomed by the rabbis in Ann Arbor, but hasn't joined a syna- gogue yet. In Seattle, he was on the board of the American Jewish Committee and a member of the Maimonides Society at the Seattle Jewish Federation.
