Megan Jacobs
Megan Amanda Jacobs will
become a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
Dec. 13, at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek. Megan is the daughter of
Elyse and Richard
Jacobs and sister
to Nick and Tony.
She is the grand-
daughter of Sylvia
and Bernard Koss,
Sonia and Jules
Stross and the late
I. Murray Jacobs.
Megan's mitzvah projects have
included making dolls for sick chil-
dren through Hadassah, reading
with kindergarten children at
Conant Elementary, gift-wrapping
for Women's American ORT and
preparing hamentashen for shalach
manot.
Megan is an honor student at
Bloomfield Hills Middle School
where she participates in student
leadership, ,honors choir, tennis and
as a member of the state forensics
team. In addition, she plays piano
and cello and sings with the
Shaarey Zedek youth choir. She
loves to tap dance and enjoys writ-
ing.

Adam Cohen
Adam Todd Cohen will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Friday, Dec. 12, at Temple Israel.
He is the son of Dr. Didi Cohen
and Gary Cohen of blessed memo-
ry, and brother of
Justin and Kristie.
His proud grand-
parents are Laura
and Allan Cohen
and Geraldine
Rosen and the
late Dr. Harold
Rosen.
He collected warm clothing, blan-
kets and toys for the Baldwin
Avenue Shelter and assisted in the
Temple Israel Religious School; he
also donated to MJAC to help com-
bat AIDS. Adam is a student and
Detroit Country Day and loves

video games, soccer and knee-
boarding.

Daniel Rosenberg
Daniel Brett Rosenberg will observe
his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Friday, Dec. 12. He is the son of
Debra and
Sheldon
Rosenberg, broth-
er of Jordan and
Ryan and grand-
son of Helen
Shapiro, Joseph
Shapiro, Anne
Rosenberg and the late Dr. Max
Rosenberg.
He worked at his school camp as
part of his mitzvah project. Dan
attends Orchard Lake Middle
School and his hobbies include
playing basketball and baseball
and collecting sports cards.

Evann Eisenberg
Evann Elyse - Eisenberg will cele-
brate her bat mitzvah at Temple
Israel on
Saturday, Dec.
13. She is the
daughter of Beth
and Dr. Bruce
Eisenberg, sister
of Alex and
grandchild of
Barbara and Larry Eisenberg and
Douglas Glasgow and Jane Hunt.
Proud great-grandmother is Rose
Pollack. She also is the grand-
daughter of the late Marilyn
Glasgow.
Among her mitzvah projects were
volunteering for Race for the Cure,
Gilda's Fun Run, and extended
assistance in the special education
program at Temple Israel's Religious
School. A student at West Hills
Middle School, where she plays
violin in the orchestra, Evann also is
a member of the tennis team. She
enjoys skiing, swimming, music and
computers.
