Beth Shalom
Chanukah Party

Congregation Beth Shalom will host a
Chinese Chanukah Party 5 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 25. Families are invit-
ed to bring menorahs and light them
together.
There will be latkes, fortune cook-
ies and Chinese food; Chinese
Chanukah games will be played. The
price is $9 for adults; $5 for children
5 through 13; children under 5 are
free. Reservations must be made by
Dec. 17.

Shir Tikvah
Pre-School

Congregation Shir Tikvah offers two
types of preschool programs for chil-
dren 3-4 years old. One is an infor-
mal play group; the second is a for-
mal enrichment program. Shir
Tikvah hosts a periodic preschool
play group in conjunction with its
Family Education program on
Sunday mornings. Upcoming dates
for the preschool play group are Jan.
11, Feb. 8, March 8, April 26, and
May 10.
The new endeavor is a more formal
preschool enrichment series, also
scheduled for Sunday mornings. This
series will consist of informative classes
on Jewish holidays through stories,
songs, art and prayer. The holidays to
be covered and class dates are Tu
B'Shevat, Feb. 8; Purim, March 15;
Passover, March 29; and Israel
Independence Day, May 3.
