"David is settling in nicely," Good-
man said of his new employee. "I
knew of him in the community and
know he has good skills to do the job,
and his knowled.ge of the Jewish com-
munity is extensive. I feel I made the
right choice."
While working at Federation, Moss
knew of some of the programs at JFS,--
but was unfamiliar with the day-to-
day operations.
"Marcia was very helpful in easing
my transition," he said. "She gave a lot
of input about how the organization
worked, and some of the ups and
downs of the job."
Moss and his wife, Janis, live in
Farmington Hills.
In his spare time, Moss works out, --
both with weights and Tai Chi classes.
He's also been reading about the social
and cultural history of China. He and
his wife hope to adopt a child in
China.
At JFS, Moss is still unsure what
type of changes may happen in his
department.
"I want to keep learning what's
been done in the past, before changing-
anything," he said. "The agency has a
real good reputation in the communi-
ty, so I don't think much needs to be
done. My goal is to bring about
greater awareness to people who are
unaffiliated."
