Revolutionary Soccer
Outdoor-style soccer comes inside at a state-of-the-art facility in Wixom.

n December, Total Soccer will
open a new indoor soccer facili-
ty. But this won't be like their
current properties in Royal
Oak, Southfield or Fraser.
The Wixom complex will house two
indoor arenas, like the other three loca-
tions, but will also have two regulation-
size indoor fields. The 220,000-square-
foot building is the first of its kind any-
where in the country.
Bob Scheuer and his partners Steve
Rock and David Shindell, became
involved with Total Soccer in 1991.
"The people who operated it before
knew the soccer end of things, but not
the business side," Scheuer said.
"When we got involved, we farmed out
the concession business to other peo-
ple. Our job was not to sell Kit-Kat
bars, but give people the best soccer
experience they can have."
