healing service 7:30 p.m. Monday,
Dec. 8, at Northminster Presbyterian
Church.
The service will consist of many
prayers, meditations, songs and exer-
cises invoking God's help in healing
the body, mind and soul. It is
intended to be an emotional and
—if urturing service which is open to
anyone dealing with spiritual or
r physical healing, loss of a loved one
or simply in need of emotional sup-
port.

Dinner, Songs

Congregation B'nai Moshe will host
a multi-faceted pre-Chanukah cele-
bration for all ages 6 p.m. Monday,
Dec. 15.
The evening will begin with a
Chanukah theme dinner; the cost is

$3 per child (age 12 or under) and
$5 per adult. Prepaid reservations are
required.
At 7 p.m. there will be two
Chanukah learning events running
simultaneously. Cantor Earl Berris
will lead a workshop for children and
families, which will include a candle-
lighting tutorial and songfest; at the
same time, guest instructor Aviva
Silverman will present a text study
session for adult learners titled, "The
Chanukah Songs We Sing: What Do
They Really Mean?" English transla-
tions will be provided; no Hebrew
background is required.
Both of the workshops are free
and open to the community. For
