Tadiran Signs With
Swiss Military

Jerusalem (JPFS) — Tadiran Electron-
ic Systems has won a $120 million
contract for the supply of command,
control, communication and intelli-
gence systems to the Swiss army, the
company said.
Industry sources said the deal is the
largest ever made by an Israel-based,
private defense contractor with a for-
eign military.
Tadiran executives called the con-
tract a milestone and said it represent-
ed a significant entry into the Swiss
market. They said the deal may attract
interest from other European armies as
the Swiss are regarded as having one of
the most advanced armies on the con-
tinent.
