Changing Spaces

Becky Hart, who curated "Changing Spaces: Artists' Projects from the Fabric
Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia," leads a tour of the current DIA exhibi-
tion, which comprises art created by national and international artists. Each
installation incorporates all three-dimensional media and includes fabric as part
of its composition. Meet in the Kresge Reception area at the Detroit Institute of

Laker Concert

Shaarey Zedek's annual Laker Concert — the Laker family's Chanukah pre-
sent to the community — this year presents international singing star David
Broza, a modern troubadour of folk-rock, and entertainer Herschel Fox, a can-
tor-comedian who's been. described as a "Yiddish Jimmy Stewart." Join the fun.

The Vow

The Metropolitan Detroit Yiddish Film Festival continues its series with The
Vow, a classic drama about two friends who pledge that their as-yet-unborn chil-
dren will marry. Their families learn about the consequences of breaking vows

Opening Monday

A Walk Through Jerusalem

An interactive exhibit celebrating the history and culture of Jerusalem, for
families and groups, will be at the Jewish Community Center of Toledo through
Dec. 23. The show will highlight the eight gates of the Old City of Jerusalem.
Games, videos, costumes, hands-on art activities and creative writing exercises
will be available. Open to the public 12:30-5 p.m. Sundays; other times by
