The program will include a selec- tion of workshops intended to intro- duce the novice teacher to basic skills for teaching young children in a Jewish classroom, and the veteran teacher to innovative ideas and activi- ties to enhance her/his skills. Keshet Offers Family Support Dealing with pre-school and early ele- mentary school aged special needs children will be the focus at JARC's Keshet family support program coffee and conversation 7 p.m. -Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the home of Carla Rhodes in Farmington Hills. The Family Support Program and the JCC will sponsor a Maccabee Mitzvah Party for families 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Maple/Drake Jewish Community Center Rosenberg Complex. Families will participate in Chanukah arts and crafts, sports, games, singing and tzedakah projects. Teen-age volunteers from the Daniel Sobel Friendship and Children's Circles will be available to assist chil- dren with special needs. The cost is $5 per family and a non-perishable food item for Yad Ezra jr a non-perishable food item and a gift for the Children's Circle (books, games, crayons for children ages 3- 10). The JARC Keshet Family Support Progt m provides outreach, education- al and :vial programming and advo- cacy on behalf of parents who have children of any age with any disability.
