University will present a lecture by
Distinguished Professor Guy Stern,
Department of Germanic and
Slavic Languages and Literatures 3
p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at the
McGregor Memorial Conference
Center. His topic: "The Attraction
of Opposites: Jews and Non-Jews in
Recent German Jewish Literature."
Light refreshments will be served.

Rabbi Alon Tolwin will receive Yeshivas Darchei
Torah's Pillar of Torah Award. This award is giver
to an individual who has made a strong impact c'
the promotion of Torah ideals in our community

Alexander Beth Jacob School for Girls and later a
a computer engineer at Ford Motor Company. Ii
1989, he founded the Detroit branch of Aish
HaTorah, an outreach organization that specia
izes in providing Torah education to Jews

A reception honoring Rabbi Tolwin will be
held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Agency for Jewish Education building,
21550 West Twelve Mile Road, Southfield.
