Director Martin Scorcese calls it "one of the key modern films - brilliant,
romantic and genuinely tragic." Jean-luc Godard's restored version of Contempt
(France/Italy - 1963) stars Brigitte Bardot as a woman with an overwhelming
contempt for her husband, a writer who signs to rework The Odyssey for a vulgar
