Keren Tina Stiebel celebrated her
bat mitzvah at Birmingham
Bloomfield Synagogue-Chabad on
Saturday, Nov.
15. She is the
daughter of Alex
and Devorah, sis-
ter of David and
granddaughter of
Ariel and Hanna
Stiebel.
Keren is a student at East Hills
Middle School, where she plays
violin with the school orchestra and
is a member of the Bloomfield
Force Soccer League.
Keren's celebration will continue
this summer in Israel.

Matthew Ehrlich
Matthew Stephen Ehrlich will be
called to the Torah as bar mitzvah
at Temple Kol Ami on Saturday,
Nov. 22. Matt is the son of Susan
Ehrlich and Richard and Eileen
Ehrlich, brother of
David, grandson
of Joseph and
Dorothy Brace
and the late
Pinkus and Mary
Ehrlich.
Matt is an honor
student at 0.E
Dunckel Middle School in
Farmington Hills. His favorite activi-
ties are baseball, basketball and
attending summer camp.
His mitzvah projects included vol-
unteering at Temple Kol Ami, at a
soup kitchen and at the Michigan
Jewish Sports Hall of Fame games
held at the Jewish Community
Center.

Shara Cherniak
Shara Cherniak, daughter of
Stephanie and Stephen Cherniak
and sister to Jesse, will become bat
mitzvah on
Saturday, Nov.
22, at Temple
Emanu-El. Shara is
a seventh-grade
honor student at
O.E. Dunckel
Middle School,
where she enjoys playing the violin
in the orchestra and participating on
the cross-country team. She also
enjoys ja77, ballet, horseback rid-
ing, reading and being with friends:
For her mitzvah project, Shara
helped senior citizens at the
Fleishman Residence make jewelry
and assisted in their bowling activi-
ty. She also worked with young chil-
dren at Temple Emanu-El's summer
camp program.

Joshua Roberts
Joshua Charles Roberts will cele-
brate his bar mitzvah at Havdalah
services on Saturday, Nov. 22 at
Temple Israel. He
is the son of Dr.
Linda and Joseph
Roberts, brother of
Kelly and Melissa.
Proud grandpar-
ents are Roz and
Bernie Tucker and
great-grandmother Edith Tucker.
Mitzvah projects included assisting
at birthday parties at shelters and
donating to the Cancer Fund. A stu-
dent at Orchard Lake Middle
School, Josh enjoys hockey, skiing,
snowboarding, tae-kwon-do and
reading.
