This is a delightful book, the story of
a little girl and her grandfather, of
love and of Torah.
Zeesie is 8, and the one thing she
knows about her grandfather is that
he is cranky. "Sit still and listen," he
says at Pesach, and on Sukkot he
tells children to stay out of the sukkah
because they "bring in dirt and make
noise." Then Zeesie comes to stay
with her grandparents, and she goes
to synagogue on Simhat Torah with
