social service agencies
got a boost on Nov. 8,
when 120 Jewish high
school students from
northern Ohio and
southeast Michigan showed up, ready
for work.
As part of the National Federation
Temple Youth Fall Kallah (study
retreat) hosted by Temple Shir
Shalom, teem provided Saturday
afternoon help-at such organizations
as St. Vincent DePaul, Cass Church,
Casa Maria Family Services, the West
Bloomfield Convalescent Center and
Menorah House.
In addition to the social action pro-
jects, teens participated in religious
services, educational study sessions
and an evening social. 0
