grams for the over-65 set includes
ballroom dancing.
Rick Brode and his father pur-
chased an interest in the venerable
Rochester Hills Tennis and Swim
Club several years ago, and are now
planning an expansion of that facility
"My goal is to keep moving, to
keep expanding, to take the same for-
mula we used here at Franklin and
apply it to different locations through-
out the region," said Rick.
"Right now, Rochester is what
Franklin was 15 years ago, except that
they have a strong swim program.
Basically, they are a tennis and swim
club, and family-oriented," said Brode.c:
"What we want to do there is put
in the fitness component, which is the
weights, the cardio, the aerobics, spin-
ning. We want to kind of duplicate
our programming efforts here. To that
effect, we've even having discussions
with the people at Sinai DMC about
putting a similar type of operation in
there," said Brode.
Currently, the Rochester Hills club
has a membership of 2,000, which
Brode hopes to triple. ❑

ECI Obtains
Order From China

Jerusalem (JPFS) — ECI Telecom
Ltd., a Petah Tikva-based developer ofci_
integrated network communications
solutions, announced that it received
a $31 million order from China's
Hunan Post and Telecom
Administration.
According to the agreement, ECI
will supply telecommunications net-
work equipment to Hunan's local net-
. works. The equipment will be used to
facilitate distribution of voice, data
and video throughout Changsha, the
capital of Hunan, and 13 of the
province's major cities.
ECI Telecom will begin delivery of
equipment during the fourth quarter
and expects to complete delivery
within six months.
The order follows implementation
of a 1996 contract by which ECI
Telecom supplied the backbone net-
work for the entire Hunan province.
ECI Telecom also supplied the
longest backbone network in•the
world to Inner Mongolia and has
received contracts for projects in
Hunan, Guangzhou, Saanxi, Hubei
and Zhejiang and otherprovinces.
