(248) 788-3880 Joel Silverman Joel Aaron Silverman celebrated his bar mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Temple Kol Ami. He is the son of Sandy and Barry Silverman and brother of David and Daniel. Joel is the grandson of Lynne Silverman and Nate Deutch and the late Isadore Silverman and the late Esther Deutch. Joel attends Berkshire Middle School, where he plays saxophone in the band. His interests include computers, drawing, camp and lis- tening to comedy tapes. For his mitzvah project, Joel helped collect books for the Kol Ami Children's Book Drive and delivered them to a school in Pontiac. He also supervised a group of pre-kindergarten children at Safety Town. Rebecca York Rebecca York of Farmington Hills will be bat mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Birmingham Temple. Lori Robinson Lori Beth Robinson will celebrate her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel at Havdalah services on Saturday, Nov. 15.
