NCJW Hosts
Legislators

Young Israel
GO Boutique

National Council of Jewish Women,
Greater Detroit section will sponsor an
evening called "NCJW in Action" 7-9
p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 at the NCJW
office, 26400 Lahser Road, Suite 100,
in Southfield.
Michigan state representatives and
senators will speak about the legislative
process and offer an opportunity for the
public to interact and exchange infor-
mation.

Young Israel of Oak. Park Sisterhood
will have a Chanukah Gift Extravaganza
Boutique 7:30- 10:30 p.m. Monday,
Nov. 17 at the Young Israel of Oak
Park. There is a $3 cover charge.

door prizes. A variety of gifts will be

Talk Slated

Temple Kol Ami Sisterhood will spon-
sor an evening with Marlynn Levin,
director Merrill-Palmer Institute, 6:30
p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the temple.
The evening will begin with dinner fol-
lowed by Ms. Levin's talk on "Time
Management: Work, Home and
Volunteering."
Cost for the evening is $7. To make

Music Program

The Detroit Chapter of Jewish Women
International will host members and
guests at a general meeting, noon
Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Sutton Place

A program by Golina Feldman and
Adel Kozadayev will include folk and
classical music. There is a charge.

The Business & Professional/Pisgah
Chapter, Jewish Women International
will hold a general meeting, noon

Apartments clubhouse, 16190

Donald Cohen, director Michigan
Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation
League, will speak on "The Bill of
Rights and Jewish Security."
A petite brunch will be served. There
is a nominal charge. Prospective mem-
bers and guests are welcome.

Campus Talk

Machon L',Torah, the Jewish Network
of Michigan, will hold a deli dinner 6
p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 at the Jewish
Resource Center in Ann Arbor. Rabbi
Avraham Jacobovitz will lead a discus-
sion on "Netanyahu, Barak & The Taxi
Driver: Is There Really a Solution to the
Israel-Arab Conflict?"

Senior Events

Cafe Europa Detroit will be held at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris JCC at 12:45

This special program is for Holocaust
survivors, families and friends.

Penny Steyer, director of Temple Shir
Shalom choir, will perform Yiddish,
Israeli and show tunes 1 p.m. Thursday,
Nov. 20, at the JPM.
Socials are held every Wednesday at
1 p.m. at JPM. Music is provided by
local entertainers singing a variety of
songs including Yiddish.
