descript stained glass windows,
which made Camp Ramah particu-
larly attractive to the film's produc-
ers.
Woody Allen wrote and directed
the movie, which stars Melanie
Griffith and Judy Davis. Davis, who
appeared in Allen's film Husbands
and Wives, was in the scenes shot at
the camp. Allen has said the movie is
about what happens to a married
couple in New York after they break
up.
Although the mezuzahs on several
of the doors to be filmed were easily
removed — they were affixed with
velcro — film goers may want to
look carefully to see if the mezuzah
on the doorpost of the White House,
the mansion of the original estate,
was removed. It was affixed with
nails.
Allen's film company, Sweetheart
Productions, reportedly made a
$5,000 contribution to the seminary
for use of the camp. ❑
