Despite the uncooperative weather on that Sunday morn- ing, the Jewish Family Service's Fall Fix-Up was a great success, said co-chairmen Gadi Kaplan and Irvin Kappy. "The clients that we did the project for were very apprecia- tive and volunteers thought this was a very worthwhile project," Kaplan said. Nitzana York, volunteer pro- . • a gram manager at JFS, received a letter from one of the clients applauding the children that were there, saying, "It was a good lesson in volunteering and helping others." Kappy said many of the assisted seniors appreciated the company as much as the work done in their homes. "It was heartwarming to see the work being done, but heartwrenching to see the plight of some seniors," he said.
