Nathan Upfal and Janis Roszler:
Positive response for Super Sunday
chairs.

Director Michael Gilbert, it brought in
1,893 gifts for an additional $285,000.
On Super Sunday last year,
$818,000 was raised from approxi-
mately 3,400 donors. This year, fewer
pledges — 2,304 — were made, -but
more money came in.
"The day was fabulous, based on the
number of people who volunteered to
call, and the response of the callers,"
Gilbert said. "This is certainly one of
the more successful Super Sundays
we've had since I've been here."
Nearly 10,000 phone calls were
made between 9:30 a.m. and 9 p.m.
