open a coffee shop. Even on
vacation, the java junkie
would scope out coffee
locales, see how they work, do research.
So it's definitely a dream come true
for Levy, 33, to own and run the
Elijah's Cup cafe in the lobby of the
Jewish Community Center at Maple-
Drake.
The aroma of gourmet coffees —
including complicated roasts like truf-
fles and spice, Mackinac Island fudge
and strawberry nut cream decaf — as
well as garlicky calzones from
Jerusalem Pizza can almost tempt a
person who isn't hungry. (The coffees
come from Gourmet Coffee Roasters
in Walled Lake.) Either that, or the
