Ariel Kent Gluckson will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct. 25, at Congregation
Beth Shalom. He is the son of Carol
Kent and grandson of the late Judge
George D. and
'Jennie Kent. His
father is Fred
Gluckson. His aunt
Beverly Kent, uncle
r-,-Michael, and
cousins Oren and
Etai Goldenberg
will participate in
his bar mitzvah service and celebra-
tion.
Ariel's mitzvah projects included
visiting with JARC residents and
senior citizens; preparing and serv-
ing a meal at the Pontiac Rescue
Mission; preparing baskets for Yad
Ezra; volunteering time at LeBaron
'Elementary School in Pontiac to get
the Internet and teaching students
how to use computers; and record-
ing readings on tape for elementary
n students with reading disabilities.
Ariel is an eighth-grade honor stu-
dent at Hillel Day School where he
is a member of the Sound and Light
,= Crew, is a media helper and is on
the cross country team. He enjoys
skiing, boating, computers and
,camping.

Joshua Gordon Friedman will
observe his bar mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Saturday, Oct. 25. He is
the son of Pamela and Dr. Neil

Alicia Greenberg

Alicia Ann Greenberg of West
Bloomfield will be bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct. 25, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Rabbi Spectre and
Cantor Glantz will lead the ser-
vices.
