Michael Katz

Michael Katz of Farmington Hills

bar mitzvah on

25, at
Congregation
Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses. He
is the son of
Robert and Gail
Katz and the brother of Zachary.
He is the grandson of Bertha
Robbins and the late Nathan
Robbins and the late Emil and
Freda Katz.
Michael is an honor student at
Walled Lake Middle School and
'plays clarinet in the Concert Band.

Steffi is the grand-

Isabel Kaufman and Rae Watnick
and the late Benjamin Kaufman
and the late Nathan Watnick.
Stephanie is honor student at
Abbott Middle School. Her mitz-
vah work included volunteering for
Yad Ezra and helping out at her
temple. She enjoys being an
active participant of various sports
and enjoys different art media.

Julie Fried

Julie Michele Fried will be called to
the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Friday,
Oct. 24, at
Temple Kol Ami.
She is the daugh-
ter of Ellen and
Paul Fried, sister
of Katie, and
granddaughter of
Marsha and Norman Ross. Julie
also is the granddaughter of the
late Sylvia and Jacob Seidman and
the late Seymour Fried.
Julie is an honor student at O.E.
Dunckel Middle School. Her inter-
ests include reading, dancing, lis-
tening to music, and playing the
violin in the school orchestra.

Jordan Lederman

Jordan Michael Lederman will
observe his bar mitzvah on Friday,
Oct. 24, at Temple Israel. He is the
son of Karen and
Marc Lederman,
brother of Sean,
Andy and
Zachary and
grandchild of
Beverly and
Meyer Apple and
the late Ann and
Sam Lederman.
As part of his mitzvah projects, he
volunteered at a shelter for abused
women and children and assisted
at a birthday party for the residents.
A student at Orchard Lake Middle
School, Jordan enjoys hockey,
rollerblading, swimming and collect-
ing sports cards.

Jordan Cohen

Jordan Frederick Cohen will
observe his bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct.
25, at Temple
Israel. He is the
son of Janice and
Larry Cohen,
brother of Aaron

Mae and Joseph

His mitzvah project involved
playing the piano for Fleischman
residents. A student at Orchard
Lake Middle School, Jordan enjoys
computers, rollerblading, playing
the piano and skiing.

Brooke Anchill

Brooke Lauren Anchill will be

She is the daugh-
ter of Shellie and
Byron Anchill, sis-
ter of Brett and
Karley and grand-
child of Evelyn
Anchill and the late Charles Anchil
and the late Bessie and Maynard
Feen.
She has volunteered at Yad Ezra
as an ongoing mitzvah project.
Brooke is on the honor roll at
Warner Middle School and loves
babysitting and dancing and play-
ing the violin. A party in her honor
will take place at the Hotel
Baronette.

Joseph Saperstein

Joseph Reid Saperstein will
observe his bar mitzvah at
Havdalah services on Saturday,
Oct. 25, at
Temple Israel. He
is the son of
Debra and Ira
Saperstein, broth-
er of Jared,
Andrew and
Brent and grand-
child of Ida
Saperstein and the late David
"Toots" Saperstein and the late
Josephine and Henry Lasky.
Working with emotionally and
developmentally disabled children
was part of his mitzvah project.
Joey is a student at Dunckel
Middle School and enjoys the
computer, rollerblading, basketball
