he Circle of Friends of the
Child Abuse and Neglect
Council of Oakland
County recently held a
financial seminar and luncheon spon-
sored by Munder Capital
• Management in Birmingham. More
than 35 patrons learned about invest-
ing, viewed traders at work and
toured the architecturally significant
office building, which houses one of
the country's largest independent
investment managers.

Former Detroiter Rafi Steinger,
age 15, played at Carnegie Hall
last weekend. He is a piano stu-
dent of Sonia Geoffreyi. He per-
formed with other winners of the
American Scholarship World
Competition held last summer in
Ohio. Rafi is currently a student
of Ladue High School in St.
Louis and has spent many sum-
mers at Interlochen. He is the
son of Linda and Rabbi Lane
Steinger, the former rabbi of
Temple Emanu-El in Oak Park.
