Mystery Mensch

o, you think you know all
about Jewish personalities?
Each month, The
AppleTree will hold a Mystery
Mensch contest in which we give
you five facts about a famous
Jewish figure from the past or pre-
sent. They will include sports stars,
celebrities, rabbis, political lead-
ers, scientists and others. The win-
ner will be the first person to cor-
rectly identify the Mystery Mensch.
This month's contest is open to
youth aged 10-16 ONLY. Parents
may offer advice to children
researching the question, but
should not do the work for them.
Adults may not enter the contest.
The winner will receive a great
"Grow Up" AppleTree cap, and
we'll run your name and photo in
the paper.
Send your answer to our office
no later than 9 a.m. Oct. •27.
Mail to Mystery Mensch, c/o The
AppleTree, 27676 Franklin Road,
Southfield, MI 48034, or fax
(248) 354-6069 (ATTN:
AppleTree). No phone calls,
please. We will notify the winner
only by 5 p.m. Oct. 27.

Our My Window on the WorldTM and Once Upon
A TimeTM programs help preschoolers get a leg up.

We provide them with activities in math, reading, science and music. And since young
children learn best through hands-on experience, it's a good idea to involve their feet, too.
