y

ad Ezra collected enough
food at this year's annual
Kol Nidre Food Drive to
feed its client families for
three weeks.
On Sunday, about 50 volunteers of
all ages gathered to sort and pack
kosher foods for the needy Jewish
families served by Yad Ezra.
Development Director Lea Luger
said 21 synagogues, temples and
Jewish organizations collected 30,000
pounds of food — an increase over
previous years — and delivered it to
Yad Ezra on Erev Yom Kippur. Yad
Ezra typically distributes 42,000
pounds of food each month.
"People know this event, look for-
ward to it. It's family-oriented," Luger
said. ❑
