Animal Shelter and contributing to
Michigan Jewish AIDS Coalition
were his mitzvah projects. A student
at Abbott Middle School, Matt
enjoys horseback riding and drama.

Craig Brown
Craig Brown of Farmington Hills
became a bar mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Saturday, Sept. 20. He
is the son of Kenneth and Susan
Brown and the brother of Scott.
His is the grandson of Thelma and
Neil Brown and of Frances Stern.
He also is grandson of the late
Gloria Brown and the late
Norman Stern.
Craig helped out at Yad Ezra as
part of his mitzvah project and he
made a donation to the American
, cancer Society. He enjoys play-
ing basketball and is accom-
plished at playing electric guitar.

Heather Gross
Heather Gross was bat mitzvah
on Saturday, Sept. 27, at
Congregation Beth Shalom. She is
the daughter of Marlene and
David Gross, sister of Beth Gross,
grandchild of Rose Cohen and the
late Herman Cohen and the late
Eva and Harold Gross.
Heather is an honor student at
Norup Middle School. She enjoys
playing the clarinet in the school
band.
