"[The Internet] is a non-threaten-
ing way to get information and have
questions answered," said Appelman.
But will Federation help schools

equipment necessary to take advantage

of the curriculum? Currently, comput-
er resources appear to vary widely
from synagogue to synagogue, with
\--some Hebrew schools like Shaarey
Zedek's purchasing new technology
and others, like the Jewish Parents'
Institute, relying on decades-old com-
• puters.
r- "We're not sure yet what we will
/ provide and not provide or any of the
details about funding," said
Appelman. "We're waiting to see what
the results of the survey are."
