Benji organized a neighborhood
book drive and used the books as
part of his party centerpieces. All
books were then donated to
Haven, Simon House and Jewish
organizations.
Ben is an eighth-grader at
Birmingham Covington School.
His interests include playing the
trumpet, biking, reading, skiing,
table tennis, drawing and paint-
ing. He is continuing his religious
education at Temple Israel.

Marisa Stober
Marisa Robin Stober will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitz-
vah on Saturday, Oct. 4, at
Temple Beth El. Marisa is the
daughter of Barbara Epstein and
Dr. Richard Stober. She is the
granddaughter of Joyce and
Abram Epstein and Ruth and Louis
Stober.
Marisa is an honor student at
Abbott Middle School. She is
involved in the performing arts,
including dance, drama and musi-
cal theater, and also enjoys ski-
ing, tennis and art.
Marisa's mitzvah projects include
assisting with Temple Beth El's spe-
cial needs program and volunteer-
ing at a bone marrow donor drive.
