Participating in the ceremony will
be her parents, Linda and Joel
Garfield, and her sisters, Jennifer,
Marla and Stephaine. Her grand-
parents Miriam Ferst and Alice

A party will be held at DoubleTree
Suites in. Novi.
Lauren is a student at West Hills
Middle School and attends Hebrew
school at Shaarey Zedek. She is
interested in sports, dance and com-

Brandon Egren will celebrate his
bar mitzvah at the Birmingham
Temple on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Brandon will mak% a special presen-
tation on the life and ethics of Pierre
Mendes France: "A Great Jewish
Prime Minister of France."
Brandon is the son of Karen and

Jeremy Allan Shuback will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Saturday, Sept. 27, at
Congregation Shaarey-Zedek B'nai
Israel Center. Jeremy is the son of
Fred and Mindy Shuback and the
brother of Marissa and Andrea.
Jeremy is an honor student at Hillel
Day School. He enjoys swimming, 1.1
piano, art, bicycling and writing
fantasy stories. Jeremy has been
active in drama at school and was
a member of the Paper Bag Players
theater group.. He has been a mem-
ber of the Shaarey Zedek Youth
Choir and will be participating in
the High Holiday Choir at B'nai
Israel for his second year.
Jeremy's grandparents are Rabbi
Julius and Jewel Shuback and
Ormond and Sharon Sacks. His
