CHARLES SCHWARTZ, 93, of
Southfield, died Sept. 19.
He is survived by his sister-in-law,
Ruth Schwartz of Los Angeles. Mr.
Schwartz was the beloved husband of
the late Ida Schwartz.

GAYLE KRINSKY SHLAIN, 42, of
West Bloomfield, died Sept. 19. Mrs.
Shlain was a therapist and social work-
er.
She is survived by her husband,
Bruce Shlain; son, Nick Shlain;
daughter, Frankie Shlain; parents,
Joseph and Emily Krinsky; sister and
brother-in-law, Ellen and Urban
MacDonald; brother and sister-in-law,
Irwin and Cathy Krinsky. Mrs. Shlain
was the loving daughter of the late
Frances Krinsky and the dear sister of
the late Melissa Krinsky.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

BERTHA SLATKIN, 89, of
Bloomfield Township, died Sept. 18.
Mrs. Slatkin was a past president of
