Israeli school children take to the streets
to celebrate Purim.

I was told that many more people
attended the Purim service than nor-
mally show up for Shabbat. And the
-,percentage of young congregants was
higher than usual. I'm sure that the
special songs for the children, the
accordionist, and the games during the
service brought out the younger par-
ents and their children.
While the schools are closed for
three days during Purim and the chil-
dren are on vacation, the stores and
businesses are all open. Some of the
