THE EDGE

In a hard-hitting action adventure
that pits man against nature, writer
David Mamet takes audiences to a
remote corner of the world and to the
edge of motion picture suspense.

Alec Baldwin and Anthony Hopkins
struggle to survive in The Edge.

The Edge is a harrowing tale of two
very different men — one an intellec-
tual billionaire (Anthony Hopkins),
the other a hotshot fashion photogra-
pher (Alec Baldwin) — whose hidden
tensions are unleashed when they
engage in a desperate struggle for sur-
vival after their plane crashes in the
hostile Alaskan wilderness.
One man eventually learns that the
greatest danger comes not from nature,
but from fear, treachery and, possibly,
murder.

barbs to draw blood. With screwball
comedy this inspired, it would take a
true prude to be put off. (Or possibly a
Steven Seagal fan.)
