The topic will be "Blessings and Brochot." Young Family Service Set The Young Family Shabbat Committee of Temple Emanu-El will host a Shabbat service 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the temple. Services are geared for children seven and younger and their families. There is to be Jewish storytelling and a craft project. Rosh Hashanah will be highlighted. Paul, scholar in resi- dence, will be featured at Temple Israel's Selichot service 9 p.m. Saturday Sept. 27. Dr. Paul, chair of the Bible Department at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, will speak on "Teshuvah: the Uniqueness of Repentance in Judaism." A dessert reception hosted by the Temple's affiliate groups will take place at 10:30 p.m. The Selichot service will be sung by Cantors Harold Orbach and David A. Katz and the Temple Israel Choir directed by Benjamin Cohen; it will begin at 11 p.m. BAHM Hosts Family Service Congregation Beth Abraham Hillel Moses will host a special family Rosh Hashanah observance 4 p.m. Thursday; Oct. 2. The festivities will include family programming with Rabbi Bergman, Rosh Hashanah snacks, and a chance to make crumbs for Tashlich, which will take place at the pond. This program is free and open to the public. No reservations are required. Shir Shalom Ma'at Shabbat Temple Shir Shalom will welcome Helayne Shaw for Ma'at Shabbat 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.
