A preservation of recipes, immi-
grant stories, childhood memories,
and musings, Miriam's Kitchen was
inspired by Ehrlich's mother-in-law.
A Holocaust survivor, "Miriam" pre-
served and handed on history, tradi-
tion, community connection, humor
and wry lessons of life — through
her kitchen. Reminiscent of Ehrlich's
own childhood, she began cooking
with Miriam, discovery the secrets of
crisp potato pancakes, savory Sabbath
puddings, instilling Judaism in her
own children and about world loss
and survival.
