beings; seeing uncertainty overwhelm
families in hospital waiting rooms;
and seeing a victim of a terrorist
attack deal with complications none of
us should ever know — I can tell you
first-hand that it's not worth waiting
any longer to act."
Every so often, Ari has flashbacks to
the bombing. "I constantly find myself
staring at people's briefcases and bags,
wondering if that will be the next
bomb."
"As you watched this tragedy from
your television sets in Michigan, you
probably frowned or maybe even felt a
little sad or sympathetic. I reacted in
this same manner before the bomb,
and I thought that I really cared. I
thought that I was a strong Zionist
who cared deeply for all of the Jewish
people.
"I now realize that we are all some-
how responsible for this bomb because
of our lack of action."
Yoni says, "Screws don't belong in
people's spleens and arms. Nails don't
belong in legs and backs. Let us take
action in whatever way each of us
can." The brothers suggest contacting
politicians or supporting anti-terrorist
organizations, whatever action is possi-
ble, to stem future massacres.
